In a recent survey on the importance and focus of innovation in large organizations in South Africa, a significant trend towards innovation that potentially reduces payback periods on investments was noted. This result is in contrast to similar surveys conducted previously that shows a greater focus in new product development.

The SystemicLogic state of the practice survey on software development processes with in large organisations in S.A will focus on understanding three key issues. These areas are:
Process measurement – the use of measurement techniques in SA businesses
Process milestones – the key milestones on the process improvement journey
Stepping stones and stumbling blocks – common problems experienced within the process management context and solutions
If you are already a participant in the Process Landscaping Theme, we would appreciate you input into this report. Should you wish to participate in this research by providing input to the research and are not a participant of the Process Landscaping Theme please contact heather@systemiclogic.com .

These reports will be available in Mid March 2004.

After long and intense discussions with our customers we decided to expand our research threads. Due to this expanded focus the theme descriptions used in 2002 and 2003 have now changed.

It just means that that you will get more content and research outputs per theme. The charter process has just started, so please make youself heard on the discussion forums.
